Why orientation matters
UST ALR material uses microscopic optical structure to accept light from one direction and suppress light from others. With a tabletop UST, projection light arrives from below. With a ceiling-mounted UST, the relevant direction flips. The screen material must match that geometry.
The standard PRO
The current PRO listing explicitly states that it is for table- or floor-settled UST laser projectors. That is the normal “laser TV on a cabinet” arrangement. If your projector sits under the picture, this is the model family to evaluate.
The PRO A
The PRO A is the corresponding version for a UST projector mounted above the screen. Current listings show the same broad 84–120-inch sizing, 0.6 gain, 170° viewing angle and slim motorized format, but the optical surface is oriented for the opposite light direction.
Do not choose from room aesthetics alone
A ceiling-mounted projector can clean up furniture, but it changes installation complexity, cable routing and screen orientation. Decide projector placement first, then choose the matching screen. This is one of the rare cases where the model suffix is directly tied to whether the optical system can work as intended.
